Ardington Bakery

Nestled in the heart of the Oxfordshire countryside, The Old Bakehouse on the Lockinge Estate, is the perfect location to allow us to create great cakes. The building has been here for in excess of 150 years serving for the greater of those years as the main supplier of bread to the estate and surrounding villages. Although the coal fired ovens have long gone, the passion for baking remains within the foundations of our daily bakes.

The Old Bakehouse was founded in 1987 by pastry chef Graham Birks. Graham’s passion for baking initially led him to a career in the world of Patisserie, working for Michelin Star restaurants. He then established Sugar & Spice, a wholesale baking company, supplying cakes across the UK from places like Kensington Palace to bespoke farm shops.
